Spring Reading List

This picture feels like it best emulates me as i try to achieve these short and simple reading lists! I’ll come back and share in depth on one or two of these but here’s what I’ve got in my bag as I scurry around this Spring! What have you got in your queue??

Preschool clues: Raising Smart, Inspired and Engaged Kids in a Screen-Filled World, Angela Santomero—I just cracked this one open this morning but excited to see what Santomero has to say in the subject of screen time. This is also the creator of Daniel Tiger (as we know Jr., we ultimately have Fred Rogers to thank ;), Blues Clues, Creative Galaxy and a few more my kids love. She has a lot to say about the background and shape of these shows and why they are as such!

Permission to Parent, Robin Bergman MD

Notes of a Native Son, James Baldwin—I’ve had a few Baldwin works on rotation and have been eager to get into this.

The Floating World: A Novel, C. Morgan Babst

The Liturgical Year, Joan Chittister—a beautiful work by a catholic nun on the importance of the liturgical Christian calendar and the beauty of living day by day in view of Christ. This has been a superb introduction for me, as I’m less familiar with liturgy and the approach she takes. Adopting it all!

The Year of Less, Cait Flanders

Big Little Lies, Liane Moriarty—I mean, I just can’t believe all the girl power generated from this novel and the show thereafter. We’ll see if this emulates the power squad that plays it on the series!
