Movies at the Boardwalk

Earlier this week, with lots of friends in tow, we went to watch Sandlot, one of the most epic baseball movies ever, on the sand (of all places!) in front of the santa cruz beach boardwalk! we packed up our beach blankets, snacks, hot cocoas and our some of our favorite sandlot quotes like these:

Remember kid, there’s heroes and there’s legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die, follow your heart kid, and you’ll never go wrong.

You’re killing me Smalls!

For-ev-ver! For-ev-ver! For-ev-ver! For-ev-ver!

you have to know some of these..right??

I haven’t been to the boardwalk (also known as the santa cruz beach boardwalk!) for something like this since I was a wee one, so it was pretty fun to go back (we might go back for ferris bueller next week…bueller!). And the giant dipper (a coaster built in 1905!) is a pretty awesome backdrop…you’ve got to ride it at least once in your lifetime.
Oh yeah, and the cotton candy, skyride and famous carousel..those are pretty fun too. in the summer, this place is pretty much overrun by visitors, so later in the summer and into the fall is one of the best times to visit 🙂
already looking forward to the next one!
