Are you serious? Can you believe it? That is crazy. I love this month for many reasons..one of them is basketball. The other? Well, basketball is pretty much the main one. But March 2012 is going to be one for the books, people! This is the month of youth camps, moving, James at convention, some more moving, lotsa meetings, beginning of the “season” at work, oh yeah we’re moving {AND} I’m going to Switzerland with my youthie team! I can’t believe it’s here and I’m so excited!
I feel like God is doing so much in us at the moment, yes there are many activities and such, but he’s working in in our hearts! Right now we are especially learning about diligence. I guess it makes sense with everything that’s coming {we’ll need it} but it’s also been such a gift to our marriage in the last, oh few days {baby steps people}, that we’ve been working on it. We’re not super, lazy bummy people in general; I wouldn’t say that necessarily. But there’s little places in our lives where we desire to be more motivated..and I think God just wants to make us better…for each other, for those we love, and for Him.
The Bible talks so much about the reward of diligence {as well as the lame-sauce-ness of laziness, oh baby does it talk about that!} and there’s such a richness in the one who’s life is lived in diligence. And it multiplies out; being diligent in your work leads to diligence in your family life which leads to diligence in my walk with Jesus. Which, when I boil it all down is going to benefit me the most- my diligence to Jesus.
I’m excited for this season of being more diligent. Right now it means doing the dishes right after we eat out of them {yeah, for real} and putting our clothes away when we take them out of the laundry…but it also means having more time to read our Bibles, and be with one another {I fancy that!}. Thank you Lordy!!
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.
Proverbs 13:4 The lazy have strong desires, but receive nothing; the appetite of the diligent is satisfied.

Thanks for sharing your heart Casey:) I pray this new season will be wonderful for you two and a time of growing in the Lord. I too have been digging deeper into the Word this year and it's so great! Look forward to reading more of your adventures!
